Shiromani Akali Dal President S.Sukhbir Singh Badal addressing mammoth gatherings in favour of S. Surjit Singh Rakhra SAD-BJP alliance candidate from Patiala Loksabha constituency at Nabha (Kaidopur) & Pattran on 10th April, 2019.
Sanaur /Nabha /Shutrana April 10, 2019: The SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal today asked Captain Amarinder Singh and the Congress party why they are so upset and peeved at the removal of Kunwar Vijay Partap from the SIT by the EC even as there are four other members including the SIT chairman against whom no action was sought nor taken?
"Why this obsessive protective concern only for One officer, Kunwar Vijay Partap? The SIT is headed by a DGP. Does the CM and his Congress party have no faith in these other officers? " asked Mr Badal. He was speaking to news persons on the sidelines of the SAD BJP election rally at Sanaur today.
Mr Badal also addressed rallies at Nabha and Shutrana in which he blasted the CM for taking a false oath on Guru Gobind Singh ji's sacred charan only to break all the promises made under that oath.
Commenting On Amarinder 's reaction to EC order on Kunwar Vijay Partap , the SAD president said that his party also sought and got the transfer of Bathinda DC but that didn't upset the CM and the Congress at all. It is only the action against Kunwar VIjay Partap that has unnerved the Congress.
Reacting to captain Amarinder Singh's letter to EC requesting review of its order on the guilty SIT member, Mr Badal said that the EC order was basrd on the outrageously political and biased opinions expressed by Vijay Partap on Akali leaders. Can Captain Amarinder Singh defend even that ? He has tried to be clever with the EC by skipping any reference to the officer trying to defame political opponents of the CM during the poll code period.
Mr Badal said that his party never objected to the role of any other member on the SIT and fully cooperated with it, recording statements as and when asked to do so. " We still haven't said a word about any other member of SIT including its chairman. But this officer was truly acting as an election agent of the Congress, bringing disgrace to his profession.
Mr Badal attributed Captain's nervousness and anger to the fact that this had upset his plans to misuse this politicised officer to vitiate the electoral atmosphere in the state for Congress gains.
The SAD president of also said that the true face of the members of the so-called Bargari Morcha has also been fully exposed by the EC order as all of them have started parroting the Congress line on Kunwar Vijay Partap. "They are actually reading out a script written for then by the Congress. They have no minds of their own. They made a fortune by exploiting Sikh sentiments to promote Congress party's agenda of dividing and weakening the Khalsa Panth. They feel no shame in being Congress agents against an age-old Panthic party , the SAD. By totally echoing the Congress words on every issue against SAD, this "gang" called the Bargari Morcha has totally exposed himself, said Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Similarly the other ABC D teams of Congress, Like AAP, PEP and the so called taksalis were also issuing statements using the exact words which the Congress has prepared for them.
He said that the biggest betrayal by Amarinder has been against farmers on total debt waiver, against Dalits on SC scholarships and Shagun schemes, against unemployed youth and against senior citizen on jobs and pensions respectively.
The Akali chief lashed out against the Congress govt for discontinuing all the development and welfare policies and programmes started by the SAD BJP government. Pensions, SC scholarships, unconditional free 209 units to salt families have been stopped. Most Seva Kendras have been shut down. There is ban on govt jobs. Seven DA instalments have been denied and Pay Commission has been stopped. Teachers getting Rs 40000 have been told to accept 15000 or get lost. It is the same story on unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 for youth, pension hike from Rs 500 to Rs 2500 , Shagun from Rs 15000 to Rs 51000 and many other promises made under oath by Captain Singh.
