New Delhi, April 19, 2019: Congress national spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi has resigned from all party posts and primary membership of the party.
She has since joined Shiv Sena in the presence of the party chief Uddhav Thackeray. Her decision to quit came in the wake of hitting out at Congress for reinstating UP party workers who had allegedly misbehaved with her.
In the resignation letter tendered to the party president Rahul Gandhi, she said that ''In the last few weeks, certain things have convinced me that my services are no longer valued in the organisation and that I have reached the end of the road. At the same time, I feel that more time that I spend in the organisation will be at the cost of my own self respect and dignity.
She has also removed the words 'National Spokesperson, AICC' from her Twitter bio.(with agency inputs)
