Talwandi Sabo, May 06, 2019: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and it’s Bathinda parliamentary constituency candidate Baljinder Kaur today suffered a severe jolt when the candidate’s uncle Jaswinder Singh Zaildar, who is also Baljinder Kaur’s chief poll manager, joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
S Jaswinder Zaildar, whose house is just across Baljinder Kaur’s house in Jaga Ram Tirath village in this sub division, joined the SAD in the presence of Union food processing minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. Three panchayat members of the village - Balwinder Singh, Boota Singh and Malkit Kaur also joined the SAD on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Badal said the people’s disenchantment with AAP was complete. “Earlier people were forsaking AAP because it moved away from its self professed ideology. Now even close relatives are leaving AAP candidates. She said the exit of Jaswinder Zaildar had derailed Baljinder Kaur’s campaign. “Zaildar was the chief strategist of the AAP candidate. With his exit AAP is completely out of the race in Bathinda”,’he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaswinder Zaildar said he was disillusioned with AAP because it talked something and did the diametrically opposite. “I too, like thousand of other volunteers have been misled by the party”, he said adding he would do his utmost to ensure victory for the SAD nominee on May 19
