Jalandhar, May 21, 2019: In order to further streamline the process of counting of votes for the Jalandhar Parliamentary Constituency, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has appointed five counting observers for the segment.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma said that senior IAS Officer from Andhra Pradesh Cadre I Samuel Anand Kumar would be counting observer for Phillaur and Nakodar assembly constituency of Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat. Likewise, he said that 2003 batch IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh Priti Shukla would be counting observer for Shahkot and Kartarpur assembly segments, 1994 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Amit Kumar Ghosh would be counting Observer for Jalandhar West and Jalandhar North Assembly segments, Mr. T Raghavendra would be Observer for Jalandhar Central assembly constituency and Dr. Soujanya A would be Counting Observer for Jalandhar Cantt and Adampur assembly segments.
