Fatehgarh Sahib, March 28, 2020: Kuljit Singh Nagra fire brand MLA from Fatehgarh Sahib has not only donated his one month salary for the CM Corona relief fund, but he has also become a source of inspiration for the councillors of Municipal Council Sirhind Fatehgarh Sahib, who followed him and announced to donate one month salary.
Since the lock down and curfew has been imposed MLA has been touring every nook and corner of his constituency to help the people in the hour of crisis. He visited all the police stations, chowkis and hospital falling in Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency. He appreciated the working of the district civil and police administration and of health department especially the efforts of the district police to provide food to the needy at grass root level. During his visit to the
district hospital and police station, he interacted with the doctors and police officers and appreciated their working. Boosing their morale MLA said that Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh has announced that there will be no shortage of funds and any other thing required, while dealing with dreaded disease. He appealed to the people to co-operate the government by maintaining social distancing and better to stay at home to curb this disease. Meanwhile Amrit Kaur Gill Deputy Commissioner had been holding regular meeting with all the officers to review the situation in the district and to ensure the availability and distribution of essential commodities at the door steps of the people. She has set up a control room for the convenience of the people to sort out their any type of difficulty and Jaspreet Singh IAS Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) has been made incharge of the campaign District Administration Fatehgarh Sahib’s initiative “We Volunteer” in War against COVID-19. Large numbers of people are offering their services to serve the needy. DC has mobilised all the four SDMs and they working over night and leading the campaign to provide essential commodities to the people. That’s why Fatehgarh Sahib is the leading district in State, where no complaint of non availability of essential commodity is received rather NGOs and poorest among the poor are appreciating the efforts of district administration and spirit of MLA.
