April 09, 2020: An NGO Sikh for Education being headed by Raju Khanna President Youth Akali Dal Malwa Zone cum Halka incharge for SAD(B) of Amloh constituency in a letter to the Deputy Commissioners and SSPs of Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala district has sought the permission to cremate the mortal remains of Corona victims at their own risk as per the guide lines and protocol.
Raju Khanna said that it is unfortunate that even the family members of the Corona victims have started to receive and cremate their dead bodies amid fears that the virus could infect them. He said the dead bodies of such victims are cremated just like unclaimed bodies. He said their NGO have expressed willingness to perform this sewa with full religious rituals. He said service to mankind is service to God there is no politics involved. He urged the family members not to shun their loved ones as any disease can cause death to anyone. He said the NGO daily perform Ardas that no one should die due to this dreaded disease and those entire positive should become healthy.
Meanwhile Dr.N.K.Aggarwal Civil Surgeon has stated that there is no threat from cremating the Corona victims as per the protocol suggested by the health department. He said even the ashes can be collected and immersed as per religious rituals.
