23 booked for curfew violation in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 9, 2020: Despite repeated instructions through media, announcement and on social media, as many as 23 people violating the curfew orders have been booked – 4 at Mallanwala, 12 Talwandi, one in Kulgarhi, 2 in Mamdot and 4 at Guruharsahai.
The curfew was imposed in the whole of the state to break the chain of the spread of coronavirus infection, which has alarming results at the global level and India is not the exception, where the figure now stands as 2614 negative, 107 positive, 217 pending results against the world figures as 1,62,698 cases, 84,792 deaths while the recovered cases are 3,13,022.
However, the violators were released on bail with a strict warning to remain stay at home.
Both, DC Kulwant Singh and SSP Bhupinder Singh said, it is good so far there is no positive case in Ferozepur and it is only due to the cooperation of the people. They made an appeal to the residents to continue to cooperate with the administration in the same manner and stay at home so that spread of virus transmission is avoided
