Fatehgarh Sahib: MLA, newly elected councilors meets DC, assures help in implementing public welfare schemes

Fatehgarh Sahib, February 19, 2021: Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra along with the newly elected councilors interacted with the Deputy Commissioner and assured full cooperation from their side in implementing the government sponsored welfare schemes. MLA said that Congress got the majority to rule after 10 years of rule of SAD (B) & BJP.
He called upon the councilors to start working from the day one to redress the grievances of the people of the town and to initiate development projects. He assured them that there will be no paucity of funds.
He administered them the oath not to indulge in any corrupt practice. MLA said that they should help the administration to expedite the ongoing development works in the city and serve the people as much as possible.
He said that the people of the city have given a fatwa to the Congress party in the Municipal Council elections and sealed the service rendered by them in the past years. He assured the state government headed by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh would not allow any shortage of grants for the ongoing development works in the urban and rural areas.
He assured the Deputy Commissioner that he and all the newly elected councilors would continue their public service work in the city in collaboration with the administration. Wherever the administration needs them, they will play a vital role in making the people of their wards aware of the public welfare schemes of the state government.
Deputy Commissioner assured the newly elected councilors and MLA Nagra that the administration would extend all possible cooperation. He also hoped that he would cooperate with the administration in raising awareness about corona, other natural calamities and any kind of social evils.
