Sangrur: DC asks residents to avail benefit of cashless treatment under Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana
26331 eligible beneficiaries of Sangrur district availed cashless treatment of Rs. 21.89 crore: Ramvir

Sangrur, February 23, 2021: Under the Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna (SSBY) of the Punjab Government, a week-long special campaign has been launched till February 28, 2021, to make the e-cards of registered eligible beneficiaries. Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Mr. Ramvir said that under this campaign, the eligible beneficiaries can get the maximum benefit of the special camps being set up for generating e-cards.
Deputy Commissioner said that the eligible beneficiaries should approach their nearest Common Service Center (CSC), Seva Kendras, or Market Committees with proper identification documents to get their e-card issued, which would enable them to avail Benefit of free treatment services up to Rs. 5 lakhs.
He said that while providing relief to the beneficiaries who do not have family documents, as per the orders issued by the state government, the declaration letter attested by the Sarpanch / Municipal Councilor could be submitted to the CSCs, Sewa Kendras, or Market Committees.
He said that the form is also available on the website www.sha.punjab.gov.in. He said that among the beneficiary families, Smart Ration Cardholders, SECC Families, J-Form holder farmers, registered construction workers, small traders, and accredited and yellow card holder journalists. He said that one can also check his eligibility through the official website www.sha.punjab.gov.in.
He said that by February 21, 2021, 2 lakh 38 thousand 903 e-Cards have been made and cashless treatment services worth Rs. 21 crores 89 lakh 42 thousand 526 have been provided to 26 thousand 331 beneficiaries in the district.
