Hoshiapur: Registration for Covid vaccination starts in Sewa Kendras
PEOPLE CAN GET JAB OF VACCINE AT 17 GOVERNMENT & SEVEN PRIVATE HOSPITALS INCLUDING CIVIL HOSPITAL, POLICE LINES HOSPITAL
451 SENIOR CITIZENS & 45 SUFFERING FROM DIFFERENT HEALTH RELATED PROBLEMS GOT VACCINATED IN THREE DAYS
Hoshiarpur, March 3, 2021 With a view to facilitating the senior citizens and co-morbid patients for getting themselves registered to get the jab of COVID vaccine, the registration facility at all the sewa kendras across Hoshiarpur district has been started across district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Amit Kumar Panchal on Wednesday said that the senior citizens having age group of 60 years or above and those between the age of 45 years and 59 years with co-morbidities, who are unable to get themselves registered at online portal COWIN 2.0, could make their registrations through 25 sewa kendras.
He said that the necessary directions in this regard had already been issued to all Sewa Kendras, where registration could be done by furnishing a photo ID card as proof. He said that the persons having co-morbidities will have to produce a certificate in this regard issued by a registered medical practitioner. He said that Rs. 30 had been fixed as charges for the registration in Sewa Kendras.
After registration the beneficiary can visit nearby hospital to get the jab of COVID vaccine, said Panchal adding that the vaccine was being administered at 17 Government Hospitals and seven private ones.
The ADC informed that the Government Hospitals included Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur, Police Lines Hospital, Civil Hospital Dasuya, CHCs Binewal, Bhaul Kalota, Mand Bhander, Hazipur, Tanda, Harta Badla, Buddabarh, Bhunga besides Civil Hospital Garhshankar, Mukerian and PHCs Chakkowal, Posi and Paldi while the vaccination were also being inoculated at seven private hospitals namely IVY, Aman, Modi, Central, Narad, JJ Hospital Children & Women Wellness Centre and SS Medicity Talwara Road, Mukerian. More private hospitals will be included in the list, if needed, for vaccination in time to come as per the requirement in the district, he added.
Urging people not to be panicked in view of vaccination or believe misinformation, if any, in this regard, Panchaal said that the eligible people could get themselves registered in Sewa Kendras as the COVID vaccination is call of the day in present context.
He also informed that as many as 451 senior citizens and 45 co-morbid patients had got the jab of COVID vaccine across district.
