Mohali mayor Jeeti Sidhu inaugurates works worth Rs. 65 lakhs in various areas

Mohali Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu inaugurated works worth Rs. 65 lakh in different areas of Mohali. These include footpath work in Phase 2 Army Flats, construction of a walking track in Neighborhood Park in Phase 6 and beautification of the industrial area park near Sector 57. Senior Deputy Mayor Amrik Singh Somal and Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi were also present on the occasion.
Mayor Jeeti Sidhu said that Rs. 32 lakhs would be spent on beautification of the park in the industrial area, Rs. 18 lakhs on construction of walking track in Phase 6 Neighborhood Park and Rs. 15 lakh will be spent on footpath work in Army flats Phase 2. He said that this was the first time that the work was being done by the Municipal Corporation in the Army Flats as earlier the work of the societies was not being done by the Municipal Corporation and these Army flats were coming under Joginder Vihar Society. He said that the Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu took personal interest and took up the matter with the Punjab Government and took over the affairs of the Mohali societies under the Municipal Corporation which was a great relief to the residents of the society. He said that now development works were being carried out by the Municipal Corporation in all the societies of Mohali.
He said that similarly meeting the demand of the residents of Phase 6, a walking track would be constructed in the Neighborhood Park. The construction of this track will facilitate the walkers in this park.
He said that the beautification work of the industrial park would be started immediately and after the completion of the work the look of the park would change.
