Mohali: Health Minister lays foundation stone of Community Hall in Sohana village
Mohali, July 16, 2021:
Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu on Friday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a community hall at Mangiana Patti in village Sohana. Mohali Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu, Senior Deputy Mayor Amrik Singh Somal and Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi were specially present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the Health Minister also announced that the sewer passing near here would be covered underground. He said that there was a long standing demand of the people of the state to get rid of the stench of this dirty drain and the problem would be solved once the drain was underground.
Sidhu said that with the construction of this community hall the people of the area would be able to conduct their programs here. He said that he was the MLA of Mohali constituency and was committed to provide city like facilities to the villages of Mohali.
The Health Minister said that no matter how much money would be spent on this community hall, there would be no shortage of funds. He said that there would be a complete space for community hall as well as parking for vehicles and proper arrangements would be made.
He said that the newly elected Municipal Corporation of Mohali under the able leadership of Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu was leaving no stone unturned for the development of Mohali and development works were being carried out in Mohali with full transparency.
Harjit Singh Bholu Baidwan and Sucha Singh Kalor (both MCs), Navjot Singh Bachal, Hardial Sharma Badbar, Labh Singh, Buta Singh, Davinder Kaur, Gurdeep Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Jaswinder Joshi, Taranjit Singh, Jasvir Singh, Shamsher Singh, members of Baba Gopal Das managing committee and members of the managing committee of Mangiana Patti were also present.
