Jalandhar DC hands over job offer letters to selected candidates in placement camp
Jalandhar, September 10, 2021: District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise has been acting as a single roof solution for the job seekers and employers in the district, thus bridging the gap between both of them, said Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori.
DC accompanied by the deputy director of the employment bureau Jaswant Rai visited the office of the bureau at the District Administrative Complex and interacted with the youths during a placement camp held under the seventh round of mega job fair.
Describing the bureau as a catalyst for transforming the destiny of the youth from the district, he said that besides providing jobs, it has been helping in making the youth self-reliant by enabling them to open their own business.
He said that DBEE is helping the youth to become active partners in the socio-economic growth of the state.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also handed over job offer letters to selected candidates by various companies while wishing good luck to them for their careers.
Congratulating the selected candidates, the deputy commissioner termed Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s ambitious Ghar-Ghar Rojgar Scheme a game-changer, which aimed at eliminating unemployment from the state by opening up avenues of employment for the youth.
The deputy commissioner called upon the youth to focus on their goals besides empowering them with skill development training being imparted by the state government.
Thori further added that under the mega job fair more camps would be held in the district including camps on September 13, 15, and 17 at CT Group of Institutions Shahpur, Janta College Kartarpur, and BDPO office Bhogpur.
Several renowned companies would appear in these camps with massive job offers for candidates, he added. He called upon the youth to be the creator of their destiny by joining hands with the government in its Ghar Ghar Rojgar Mission.
