More than 500 candidates got jobs in second job fair
SAS Nagar, September 11, 2021: With the motive to provide jobs to every unemployed youth, the second Mega Job Fair was organised at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, in which 522 youngsters got the opportunity to turn their fortunes.
Inaugurating the fair along with SDM Mohali Harbans Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal informed that more than 700 candidates attended the Job Fair, which was being organised under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission of Punjab Government.
Addressing the candidates, ADC (D) urged youth to take maximum benefit from these Job Fairs.
Providing detailed information about the Job Fairs, Deputy Director Mrs. Meenakshi Goyal apprised that apart from other companies, prominent employers like Reliance, HDFC, Tata AIG, Puma Source, Kotak Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Pukhraj, Zomato, HCL participated in the present Job Fair and provided jobs to 522, while 40 youngsters have been selected for skill training.
Apart from this 43 candidates have been selected for self employment.
For the success of the present Job Fair, Deputy Director CGC Landran Navneet Singh made full efforts with arrangements and mobilization of students/candidates.
GoG's and VLE's played an important role for the mobilisation of students for making the event of Job Fair successful.
During the event, an exhibition was also organised, which showcased various schemes of Punjab Government running for self Employment.
Deputy CEO Manjesh Sharma, Employment Officer Harpreet Sidhu were also present along with other officers.
