Mohali Mayor initiates Construction of Bathrooms in Phase 10 School at cost of Rs 12.5 Lakh
Initiated various development works worth Rs. 36 lakhs
Mohali, September 13, 2021:
Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu started the work of Phase 10 Elementary School at a cost of Rs. 12.5 lakh on Monday under which bathrooms would be constructed here. The mayor also inaugurated the traffic lights in front of Municipal Building Sector 68 here. Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi was also present on the occasion. Jeeti Sidhu inaugurated various development works worth about Rs. 36 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Jeeti Sidhu said that although the development works inside the schools do not come under the purview of the Municipal Corporation but considering the problems of the children and especially the problems of the girls, this work has started immediately. He said that the entire amount was being spent by Mohali Municipal Corporation on this construction.
Regarding the introduction of traffic lights at the intersection of Sector 67-68, he said that there was a great need for traffic lights at the intersection in front of the Municipal Building as there was a lot of traffic and due to no traffic lights there was a traffic problem in this area
He added that no stagnation would be allowed in Mohali regarding development works nor would there be any shortage of funds for development works. He said that the development works were being carried out in the entire city without any discrimination and with full transparency and he and his team were continuously reviewing these development works so that there would be no compromise of quality.
Apart from Jatinder Kaur MC, Jasmeet Singh, RP Bhatti President Resident Welfare Association Phase 10, Harwant Matharu, Preeti, Balwinder Kaur, MC of Sector 67 Manjit Kaur and Balbir Singh besides other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
