SAS Nagar, November 19, 2022:
The Municipal Corporation Mohali continued its rigorous anti-encroachment drive for the 10th day. The team has taken action in several areas of Mohali, including village Sohana, PHASE 10 to clear the roads, footpaths and remove illegal occupancies. During the drive, the officials removed temporary structures, platforms as well as extensions from shops near the market area. Many footpaths and roads were made free of illegal occupancy to facilitate the smooth movement of pedestrians and traffic.
The officials are also sensitizing the general public and various other stakeholders involved in this drive. The teams of MC Mohali and Police are tirelessly working against the encroachments.
On November 11, 2022, an anti encroachment drive was initiated by Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mohali Dr Damandeep Kaur with the help of police team led by DSP HS Maan from market area of phase 7 on the request of Sarabjeet Singh, President Market Association phase 7. Both of them have made a joint appeal to residents of Mohali not to encroach any public land, government land, corridors and footpaths and extend full support and cooperation to them.
Notably, the MCM is adopting a zero-tolerance policy against encroachment and will continue such drives in future.
