BJP's Sanjay Tandon inaugurates tree plantation campaign at Sector-11 Government College and Sector-17

Chandigarh, July 24, 2024: BJP's National Executive Member and Co-incharge of Himachal Pradesh, Sanjay Tandon, launched a tree plantation campaign at Sector-11 Government College.
Speaking at the occasion, Tandon urged students to participate in tree planting for environmental conservation.He highlighted the role of greenery in making the City Beautiful distinctive, emphasizing the youth's commitment to nurturing and sustaining this identity.
He called upon the younger generation to join the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam (One Tree for Mother) campaign, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Environment Day, June 5, in Delhi.
The Prime Minister underscored the importance of honoring Mother Earth, akin to our birth mothers, by planting trees in her name.
Tandon echoed these sentiments, expressing concerns about environmental imbalance and highlighting the critical role of tree plantation campaigns in preserving environmental integrity, which is crucial for personal well-being and national advancement.
In addition, Sanjay Tandon lauded the efforts of the Tricity Cab Drivers Union in promoting green and environmental conservation initiatives.He actively participated in a tree-planting event at Sector 17, accompanied by President Amandeep Singh and other union members.
Meanwhile, NCC cadets at Sector-11 Government Colleges made a commitment to sustain campus greenery and promote environmental cleanliness. Principal B.P. Yadav, Vice Principal Rama Arora, College Dean Deepshikha, Associate NCC Officer S.L.T. Madan Lal, and NCC Navy Cadets were all present to support this initiative.
