Rotary Club Ferozepur organised free medical eye check-up camp for 550 students
Ferozepur, 14 August 2024: Rotary International Club of Ferozepur Cantt organised a free medical check-up camp at HMDAV School under its Secular Project campaign. Led by Chairman Rahul Kakkar, the camp conducted free medical check-up camps for around 550 students of class VI and above using both digital and manual techniques.
A free medical camp was organized for the students in the school premises on 9th August in collaboration with Rotary Club Ferozepur Cantt. From 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Dr. Ashish Kumar Chaurishi M.B.B.S., M.D., consultant pediatrician and neonatologist of Anil Bagi Hospital. (Pediatrics) The health of the children was examined. Healthy food and diet advice was given to avoid diseases, students were explained that health awareness is an important way to prevent many types of diseases. No person wants to fall ill but carelessness towards their health makes them seriously ill. Therefore, taking care of your health is of paramount importance.
Principal Anoop Chauhan expressed his gratitude to the Rotary Club and the medical team, stressing the important role of health initiatives in areas with limited access to healthcare services.
Rahul Kakkar is dedicated to improving the health and education of students, especially those facing vision challenges, despite his disability.
The camp also included sessions to educate students about the importance of reducing screen time on mobile devices and TV.
The event concluded with the school administration felicitating the Rotary Club and Rahul Kakkar for their valuable contribution to the community.
