Three-day Multimedia Exhibition of Government of India concludes in Patiala
DC Showkat Ahmad Parray and other prominent personalities grace the occasion
VR technology became the point of attraction on the last day of the exhibition
Patiala, August 29, 2024:
The Multimedia Exhibition organized by the Central Bureau of Communication of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, at Government Mahindra College, Patiala concluded on Thursday. A colorful program was also organized during this exhibition, which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray and several iconic personalities.
Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray, who attended the program as chief guest, said that, through this exhibition, an effort has been made to do the access to those people, who have not yet got the benefit of government schemes. He said that since criticism is a significant part of democracy, one should also be aware about hia/her own rights. The Deputy Commissioner said that while this exhibition gave information about the progress made by the country in various fields, people were also made aware about different schemes.
On this occasion, FPO of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Gurmeet Singh said that the Ministry is organizing photo exhibitions and other programs on the welfare schemes of the government at several places across the country, which is a big step in making the common people aware about their rights. He said that by using VR technology, an attempt has been made to present the welfare schemes in front of the people interestingly.
He said that however people of the district are already aware about various schemes, but showcasing exhibition loaded with latest information is the commendable step.
On the other hand, the nodal officer of this program, Savinder Singh Rekhi, thanked everyone for making it a success and said that the message that was given through this exhibition needs to be carried to every home. He said, for this purpose, everyone will have to take a pledge that they will share the information of welfare schemes with maximum people around them.
During this three-day multimedia exhibition, several eminent personalities including Environmental Engineer Gurkaran Singh of Punjab Pollution Control Board, Principal Amarjit Singh, Professor Ramnit Kaur, Dr. Mohammad Sohail, Dr. Paramveer Singh, Professor Rajiv Sharma and Dr. Rai Bahadur Singh addressed from the podium.
