Ludhiana, August 31, 2024: In a significant meeting that underscores the collaborative spirit between policymakers and the industrial sector, MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora engaged with a group of industrialists from Bahadurke Road, Ludhiana.
This meeting was a concerted effort to tackle the challenges faced by the textile industry, which is a cornerstone of the region's economy.The dialogue was marked by a series of pressing issues that were brought to the forefront, reflecting the industrialists' urgent needs for infrastructural and service improvements.
The first point of discussion revolved around the irregular electricity cuts that have been plaguing the manufacturing processes.The industrialists underscored the detrimental effects of these disruptions, which have far-reaching implications for productivity and economic stability.
In response, MP Arora demonstrated prompt action by communicating directly with Jagdev Singh Hans, Chief Engineer of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), advising him to meet with the industrialists and resolve the issue at the earliest.
The state of the roads was another focal point, with the industrialists highlighting the dire condition of the infrastructure that is impeding the seamless transport of goods.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, MP Arora assured the industrialists of swift action, the meeting was fixed with Municipal Commissioner and CA GLADA Sandeep Rishi of industrialists for an amicable solution.
A poignant concern was the absence of a nearby fire station, with the current facility being 9 km away, leading to a substantial delay in emergency response times. MP Arora acknowledged the severity of this issue and committed to seeking a viable solution to enhance the safety and response capabilities in the area.
Addressing the law and order concerns, the industrialists called for regular police patrolling and the establishment of a police chowki to ensure a secure environment.
He gave his assurance to take this matter up with the Commissioner of Police Ludhiana Kuldeep Singh Chahal, aiming to bolster the security measures in place.
MP Arora's commitment to the industrialists was clear—he pledged to work diligently to address each of their concerns, thereby fostering a business-friendly atmosphere that would benefit not just the industrialists but also the wider community.
