Jalandhar, October 28, 2024: Jalandhar has maintained its top position in the state by ensuring efficient, citizen-centric services with the lowest pending at Sewa Kendras.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal said that in the past year (October 28, 2023 - October 27, 2024), the administration received 399,374 applications for various services across all Sewa Kendra, of which 378,029 eligible applications were processed in a timely manner.
Dr. Aggarwal noted that 12,258 applications were rejected due to incomplete or other deficiencies, while 6,683 applications are in process and will be completed within the stipulated time.
The Punjab Government's mission to deliver uninterrupted and timely citizen services to the public has led the district administration to adopt a "zero-pendency" approach, providing services efficiently to citizens.
Reaffirming his commitment to providing hassle-free services, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the administration regularly monitors sewa kendras and collects feedback from citizens to ensure smooth service delivery. Due to consistent efforts, Jalandhar has achieved this success.
Currently, 35 sewa kendras are operating in the district, offering over 430 services related to various departments. Dr. Aggarwal urged citizens facing any issues in accessing services to report them to the relevant authorities for prompt resolution.
