Panther Division of Indian Army to launch 'Clean and Green' campaign in villages adjoining Tibri Cantonment
'Clean and Green' campaign to be launched at Government School Purana Shala on December 11

Gurdaspur (Punjab), December 8 Panther Division of the Indian Army is launching a 'Clean and Green' campaign in villages adjoining Tibri Cantonment in collaboration with District Administration Gurdaspur.
Under this campaign, people will be motivated to make their surroundings clean and green, while also mobilizing against social evils. This campaign will start on December 11 and will continue till February 2025.
Indian Army official from Tibri Military Station today held a meeting with the district administration officials at Government Senior Secondary School, Purana Shala regarding the preparations for the 'Clean and Green' campaign.
In this meeting, the presence of the officials of the Education Department, Panchayat Department, Health Department, Public Relations Department, Forest Department, Agriculture Department and Police Department was ensured under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur Mr. Uma Shankar Gupta, IAS and supervised by Assistant Commissioner (General) Mr. Aaditya Gupta, PCS.Full cooperation was assured by the district administration officials during the meeting in the 'Clean and Green' campaign.
Indian Army Officials said thet under this campaign, villages within a 5-kilometer radius of Tibri Cantonment will be covered. For this, three zones have been created.
The campaign will start on December 11 from Government Senior Secondary School, Purana Shala and this program will be attended by senior officials of the Indian Army, Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur and SSP Gurdaspur.He said that under the 'Clean and Green' campaign, special awareness programs will be organized in the villages with the support of the district administration.
In addition to school students, the residents of the villages will be involved in this campaign and they will be motivated to make their surroundings clean and green.Along with this, farmers will also be made aware about not burning crop residues.
During the campaign, the ill effects of drugs will also be told so that the youth can avoid getting caught in the clutches of drugs. During the campaign, along with cleaning their surroundings, saplings will also be planted so that our environment can become green.
The organizers appealed to the residents of the villages adjacent to Tibri Cantonment to extend their full support to the joint 'Clean and Green' campaign of the Indian Army and the District Administration so that together we can make our surroundings clean and green and also contribute to eradicate social evils like drugs.
