Cricket Tournament of 4-Divisions organized first time in history of Canal Circle

Ferozepur, November 23: For the first time in the history of Ferozepur Canal Circle, a cricket tournament has been organized by the four divisions of the circle. Ferozepur Canal Circle Ferozepur organized a two day’s cricket tournament between Rajasthan Canal Division, Harike Canal Division, East Canal Division and Abohar Canal Division teams under the leadership of XEN Sukhjit Singh Randhawa.
The first match of the cricket tournament was played between Rajasthan Canal Division and East Canal Division in which the players of Rajasthan Canal Division performed well and entered in the final.
In the match played between Abohar and Harike Canal Divisions, the team of Harike Canal Division played well and made it to the final. On the second day of the tournament, Ferozepur Canal Government's SE Rajiv Goyal joined as the chief guest who was welcomed with a bouquet. In the final of the tournament, the players of Rajasthan Canal Division played 15 overs and gave a target of 157 runs to Harike Canal Division but Harike's team won the match in 12 overs and clinched the trophy.
On this occasion Chief Guest SE Rajiv Goyal, XEN Sukhjit Singh Randhawa, XEN Captain Amritveer Singh Randhawa, XEN Jagtar Singh jointly distributed prizes to the players of the first and second place teams.
Ravi of Rajasthan Division scored 71 runs in the match. Himmi Sharma of the winning team was the man of the match.

Rajinder Pal Goyal SD, Mr. Jaswinder Singh Bahia Superintendent, Kuldeep Singh Sandhu SDO, Vishal Kumar SDO, Gulab Singh Sandhu SDO, Avtar Singh J.A. Gurjant Singh JE were present. The role of umpires in the tournament was played by Utam Chand Bajaj, Sanjeev Bajaj, Ashwani Kumar and commentary by Vijay Happy.
