Chandigarh reports 2 deaths and 431 new COVID-19 cases
Chandigarh, April 17, 2021:
Chandigarh reported 431 new COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday. Two deaths due to COVID were also reported in the last 24 hours.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 3,414.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 3,025 samples. As per the figure, 410 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to COVID-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 33,309.

COVID Death:-
- A 52 year old COVID positive Female R/o Sector 56, a case of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, expired at Cheema Medical Complex, Mohali.
- A 57 year old COVID positive Male R/o Sector 56, a case of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, expired at GMCH 32.
Discharged Patients:-
- A total of 438 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
