NHM asks all districts to deploy additional staff in hospitals to fight with COVID
Chandigarh, May 10, 2021:
The National Health Mission (NHM) Punjab has directed the civil surgeons of the state to deploy additional staff in hospitals and health institutes to deal with COVID patients amid caseload.
NHM asked the civil surgeons to deploy ayurvedic medical officers (both male and female) working under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), pharmacists and staff nurses in hospitals at the earliest.
The order stated that civil surgeons will have to assign the duties to these additional members to tackle with home isolation, vaccination, sampling and contact tracing. It was also stated that strict actions will be taken against the staff workers, who refuse to attend his/her duty.
