Marathon-2024 to be held in Gurugram on Feb 25
Chief Minister Manohar Lal to participate as chief guest
More than 25,000 runners expected to participate

Chandigarh, February 17, 2024- Under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, the state government has undertaken several unique initiatives to raise awareness among the youth regarding drugs menace and maintaining a creative approach towards channelising their energies. In this series, a massive marathon race is being organized in Gurugram district on February 25, 2024.
It is expected that more than 25,000 participants will take part in this marathon race from Gurugram and surrounding areas. The presence of cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and other celebrities will make this event even more attractive.
The full marathon of 42.2 kilometers will start at 4:30 AM. This will be followed by a half marathon of 21.1 kilometers at 6:30 AM, a 10-kilometer race at 7:30 AM, and a 5-kilometer fun run at 8:30 AM. Many renowned runners will participate in this competition, and winners will be awarded prizes of more than Rs. 15 lakhs.
Before the marathon, a marathon expo will also be organized in Leisure Valley from February 22 to February 24 noon, where registered runners will be provided with kits. Cultural programmes will be presented for entertainment during Marathon-2024.
To make this event successful, runners club, athletes, university, school, college students, BSF, CRPF, NSG personnel, employees of private sector players, resident welfare associations, and workers of road safety organizations have been invited.
To participate in the marathon, any citizen can register and pay the prescribed fee on the gurugrammarathon.com website. The facility for group registration by an organization is also available on the website.
