UTCA’s cricket trials begin, 130 players underwent trials on day 1

Chandigarh, April 8, 2024: The trials for men's and women's categories for the UT Cricket Association (UTCA)’s season 2024-25 started from Monday wherein massive enthusiasm was seen at two different venues. Men's Seniors probables underwent at Baba Balak Nath Cricket Ground, Kaimbala as 86 cricketers were called on the first day and 82 participated while two were ruled out due to their injuries.
The trials were conducted under the supervision of UTCA's Manager Bhisham Rathore. The panel of selectors tested the bowling, batting and wicket-keeping skills. The second batch of 71 other cricketers are called on day two on Tuesday at the same venue.
Apart from these, the remaining cricketers of the previous day can also participate.
Meanwhile, trials for Women's Seniors and Under 23 Girls were conducted at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36 under the supervision of UTCA’s Manager Indu Gupta.
A total of 21 players from Women's Seniors and 27 players from Under 23 participated during the day long exercise. Girls Under 19 and Under 15 trials will be held on the same ground on Tuesday.Boys' Under 19 trials will also start at the Cricket Stadium in Sector 16 on Tuesday.
