DSCW promotes HIV awareness and environmental sustainability at Govt Sr. Sec. School, Sherkhan in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 4, 2024: The Hospital Administration and Management Department, Red Ribbon Club, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of Dev Samaj College for Women (DSCW) organized an awareness talk on HIV and a tree plantation drive at Govt Sr. Sec. School in Sherkhan, Ferozepur.
The initiative aimed to educate students about HIV, covering topics such as transmission, prevention, and the importance of combating the stigma associated with the disease. The event was successful in enhancing the knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS among female students, encouraging them to spread awareness in their community.
Additionally, a tree plantation drive was conducted in the adopted village of Sherkhan by DSCW's Hospital Administration and Management Department, Red Ribbon Club, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell. This effort focused on promoting environmental sustainability, increasing greenery, and highlighting the role of trees in combating climate change. The drive not only benefited the village's environmental health but also reinforced DSCW's commitment to the principles of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
