Haryana Women's kabaddi team wins gold, men's team bags silver at 17th Circle Kabaddi National Championship

Chandigarh, December 3, 2024 – Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister and President, Haryana Amateur Kabaddi Association, Krishan Lal Panwar congratulates Haryana’s Women’s Kabaddi Team who clinched the gold medal, and the Men’s Team who secured the silver medal at the 17th Circle Kabaddi Championship held at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
He lauded the women's team for their exceptional performance, defeating Punjab by 38-26 in the finals. The men's team also put up a commendable fight against Punjab but narrowly missed the gold, losing 48-40.
Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar participated as a Chief Guest in the 17th Circle Kabaddi National Men and Women Competition held at Panjab University, Chandigarh from November 30 to December 2, 2024.
He extended his congratulations to the President, Haryana Amateur Kabaddi Association, Sh. Kuldeep Singh Dalal, General Secretary, Sh. Naseeb Janghu, the coaches, and all officers involved.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. Panwar praised the efforts of Haryana’s women athletes, stating that their gold medal victory not only strengthens the state’s rich sporting culture but also highlights the growing participation of women in sports. The gold by the women’s team and the silver by the men’s team are a matter of pride for the entire state, added the Minister.
On this occasion, the General Secretary, Sh.Naseeb Janghu also congratulated the players and coaching staff, stating that this success will help take Haryana's sporting tradition to new heights.
This victory is a result of the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches, and the federation. We are committed to the development of kabaddi in Haryana and will provide all necessary resources to the players.
