Chandigarh Adviser Manoj Parida transferred
Chandigarh, June 17, 2021:
IAS officer, Manoj Parida, who was serving as the UT Adviser, has been transferred to Delhi on Thursday.
As per the orders of the Appointment committee of the central government, Parida has been appointed as the Chairman of National Authority of Chemical Weapons Convention, in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Union government, under the Cabinet Secretariat.
Manoj Parida, a 1986-batch AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories) joint cadre officer is among six IAS officers, who have been transferred on Thursday by the appointment committee of the Cabinet.
"I am happy to get a chance to serve in Government of India at Secretary level. But I am happier that at least Corona is under Control in Chandigarh when I am leaving," said Manoj Parida after getting his transfer orders.
Parida had joined as the Chandigarh Adviser on December 12, 2018.

Manoj Parida is a native of Odisha. He has done his schooling from Bhubaneswar and did his Master’s in International Studies and Diploma in Social work from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
Before joining as the Adviser of Chandigarh, he had remained as chief secretary in Puducherry from June 2015 to November 2017 and later served as Additional chief secretary, Home, PWD and General Administration. After that he was transferred and posted as Chairman cum Managing Director of Delhi Financial Corporation.
According to the information, the new Adviser of Chandigarh will be appointed within a few days. "It will take some time to appoint the new Adviser of UT. Presently, Manoj Parida is on his post and he is yet to relieve," said an official spokesperson of Chandigarh administration.
