Students urged people to opt for eco-friendly Ganesh idols
Ferozepur, September 17, 2021: People are become more conscious with every passing year and opting for idols made of biodegradable materials. Innovation has come to the fore, with organisations and start-ups encouraging smaller, safer and eco-friendly celebrations this year.
In this context, while making the eco-friendly Ganesh idols by planting seeds in it, with the help of teachers of Art and Craft department, the students of DCM School urged people to opt for the same. This will avoid the pollution of water and keeping in mind the idea of environmental protection so that the plant could germinate at that time of its later immersion in the water.
VP Elementary Ritika Soni informed that the around 100 students of class II with the help of their art and craft team members Sonu and Sashi made more than a dozen earthen Ganesh idols.
Activity Coordinator Elementary Deepika Maheshwari said that more than 100 students participated in this program. She said that by worshiping and immersing Ganesh idol in clay, when there will be no water pollution. She said that every social and religious festival is celebrated in the school according to the devotion so that the children can know about their culture and ideas of mutual love, brotherhood and harmony can be created in them.
