Rajiv Kumar Gupta assumes charge as Chief Administrator, GMADA
IAS officer exhorts staff to work deliver in transparent and time bound manner

SAS Nagar, May 24, 2023: Rajiv Kumar Gupta today took charge of Chief Administrator GMADA. A 2016-batch IAS officer, Mr. Gupta was earlier posted as Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training.
An engineering graduate (B.E.) from Punjab Engineering College and a post-graduate in English Literature from Punjab University, Chandigarh, Gupta has earlier served in different capacities including Director Higher Education, Punjab; Managing Director, Sugar Federation Punjab; Managing Director, Punjab State Agriculture Development Bank; Additional Deputy Commissioner, SAS Nagar; Additional Secretary Employment Generation and Additional Mission Director Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Mission; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ropar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh; Joint Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh; District Transport Officer, Ropar, Mohali; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kharar and Estate Officer, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority.
On his first day in Greater Mohali Area Development Authority, Mr. Gupta held series of meetings with different wings including policy, engineering, estate office, planning and finance to take stock of their working.
He reviewed the status of ongoing works, upcoming projects and financial position of the Development Authority. Gupta urged the officers to follow the vision of the state government of providing transparent, clean and good governance and swift delivery of various public services. Making clear to all the officials that in-time disposal of various public services is his priority, the Chief Administrator asked the officers to adopt public centric approach and make sure that no public harassment takes place. Further, he asked the officers to work diligently and ensure that the projects in progress meet the stipulated timeline.
Showing concern over the illegal constructions that have come up in different areas over the years, he asked the officers concerned to take regular action and put complete end to such activities.
