Breaking: Bomb threat to Delhi High Court sparks panic

New Delhi, September 12, 2025: A major security scare unfolded in the national capital after the Delhi High Court received a bomb threat via email. The threat claimed that three bombs had been planted inside the court premises, triggering panic and chaos.
Following the email, court proceedings were immediately halted, judges moved to their chambers, and staff directed lawyers and visitors to evacuate the complex. Both the old and new High Court buildings were cleared as a precautionary measure.
Multiple teams of Delhi Police, along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and other security agencies, rushed to the spot and launched a massive search operation. The area was cordoned off and thorough checking is underway.
Authorities confirmed that court functioning has been suspended until 2:30 PM, after which proceedings may resume depending on the situation. Meanwhile, cyber experts and police are investigating the source of the threatening email to identify those responsible.
Police officials have assured that the threat is being taken with utmost seriousness and no negligence will be allowed in ensuring security. At present, tension prevails across the High Court complex.
