Breaking: Punjab MLA set to rejoin Congress

Chandigarh, June 2, 2025 – In a significant political move ahead of the Ludhiana elections, Phillaur MLA Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary is all set to return to the Congress party.
The development marks a key reunion, with Punjab Congress President Raja Warring expected to welcome Chaudhary back into the party fold officially.
Chaudhary, who had been suspended from the Congress in 2024, faced disciplinary action for allegedly opposing former Chief Minister and Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi during the Lok Sabha elections. Following his suspension, he maintained a low profile for nearly a year.
Sources within the party suggest that with crucial elections around the corner, Chaudhary's return is being seen as a strategic boost for the Congress in the Doaba region.
His re-entry is likely to be formalized in a press event in the coming days.
