Cyber Safety Awareness Session organised for DSCW students
Ferozepur, March 5, 2026: An awareness session on cyber safety was organised for B.Sc. Medical students of Dev Samaj College for Women - DSCW, to educate them about the increasing cyber threats in the digital world and the measures required to stay safe online.
During the session, resource person Rajesh Sachdeva explained various cyber risks such as cyber bullying, online stalking and deepfake technology. He highlighted how cyber criminals use methods like hacking, Trojan horse attacks, phishing and online scams, which can threaten the safety, privacy and dignity of individuals, particularly women.
The interactive presentation helped students understand common cyber threats and informed them about effective ways to prevent such crimes. Students were also made aware of cyber laws and safe digital practices. Information was shared about support platforms such as the One Stop Centre and the Digital Shakti “She-Box” portal for addressing complaints related to harassment and cyber crimes.
At the end of the session, Rajesh Sachdeva answered questions raised by students, making the programme informative and engaging.
