Flood waters enter Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, submerge it completely

Sri Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan), August 27, 2025: Historic Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib was hit by flood waters as river Ravi overflowed in Pakistan. Complete building of the Gurdwara complex was submerged in flood waters.
Pictures of the historic Gurdwara Sahib in deep waters are viral on social media.
It is learnt that excess release of water in Ravi from eastern Punjab has resulted in overflow of the river.
According to inputs available, Sewadars and saroop of Guru Granth Sahib have been kept safe at 1st floor of the Gurdwara Sahib. Sources also suggested that Pakistan Army is ready to airlift sewadars and saroops in case of further emergency.
