Haryana CM Nayab Saini named BJP co-observer for Assam

Chandigarh, May 5, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has assigned a key organisational role to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, appointing him as co-observer for Assam as the party moves to consolidate its position following recent electoral victories.
As part of its post-election strategy, the BJP leadership has named party president J. P. Nadda as the central observer for Assam, with Saini assisting him in overseeing party affairs in the state.
In a parallel move, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been appointed as the central observer for West Bengal, while Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will serve as co-observer.
