MoU signed between Farmer Producer Committees in Moga and Netherland-based NGO PUM
- Exchange of information and experiences will be provided to make animal husbandry more prosperous and profitable

Moga, May 12, 2024– The district administration has taken an initiative to make the farmers, especially women, and milk producers of district Moga more technically strong and to make the animal husbandry business more prosperous and profitable in district Moga.
Under this, a MoU (memorandum of understanding) has been signed between Farmer Producer Committees of District Moga and a non-governmental organization PUM from the Netherlands.
The expert of this organization (PUM) Mr. John Van Den Berg came to Moga recently and met Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kulwant Singh and informed him about the plans.
Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh said that under this MoU, the exchange of information and experience exchange would make the animal husbandry business more prosperous and profitable.
With which the farmers of district Moga especially the women farmers will benefit a lot. A special contribution is being made by Grant Thornton India LLP under the HDFC Parivartan initiative to make this mission a success.
John Van Den Berg, who is known worldwide for his perennial dairy experiments, said that under this agreement, the farmers will be informed about the development of dairy farming techniques, animal health care, proper use of required fodder, etc.
Manpreet Singh, Managing Director, Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, shared details about this agreement and expressed hope that it will start yielding very good results soon.
