NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY MONTH
Nukkad Natak "Bach Ke Moud To" drives home message of Road Safety
Ferozepur, January 28, 2026: As part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month, the Mayank Foundation continues to lead a vigorous campaign to sensitize society toward traffic discipline. In a collaborative effort with Kranti Kala Manch, the Foundation organized a stirring road safety awareness program at DC Model Senior Secondary School, Ferozepur Cantonment, featuring a powerful street play titled "Bach Ke Moud To" (Be Careful at the Turn).
Through the evocative performance of "Bach Ke Moud To", artists vividly portrayed the real-life consequences of traffic violations, effectively conveying the life-saving importance of wearing helmets, fastening seat belts, and shunning the dangerous habits of over-speeding and mobile phone use while driving. The play highlighted that road safety is not just a matter of following the law, but a moral duty to protect human life.
Rajiv Setia, Secretary of the Mayank Foundation, emphasised that the organisation’s core mission is to reach every section of the community with these messages to drastically reduce road fatalities and ensure safer commutes for all.
The school management and faculty lauded the joint efforts of the Mayank Foundation and Kranti Kala Manch. They described the initiative as a meaningful step toward public awareness and stressed the necessity of hosting similar programs in the future to keep the momentum alive.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by the students to not only adhere to traffic regulations themselves but also to serve as catalysts for change by encouraging their families and neighbours to adopt safer road habits.
