Around 1950 jobs to be offered in these job fairs
Jalandhar, September 03, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today said that district administration would hold five job fairs from today (September 4) to September 11.
He said that these five job fairs would provide jobs to around 1950 unemployed youths from the district.
Deputy Commissioner said on Friday (September 4), a job fair would be held in the office of District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) by 9 to 5 Technologies company and Paytm and would offer 300 jobs. He said that minimum qualification is 8th and above any qualification.
He said that the second job fair would be organized on September 8 in DBEE office by Zomato and Swiggy which would offer 250 vacancies. Minimum qualification is 10th and above any required for appearing in the job fair.
He further told that Embross, Quiqr and Rockman Industry and Atam Vales would hold a job fair on September 9 in their premises and would provide 400 jobs. He said that interested candidates must have ITI/Diploma (Mechanical and Electrical).
Deputy Commissioner further told that on September 10, Future Generali, Eureka Forbes and Airtel would organize a job fair in DBEE office and would offer 500 jobs. +2 and graduation are the minimum qualification must for the interested candidates.
He said that Geet Gyan and LIC Insurance would also provide 500 vacancies on September 11 and graduation is the minimum qualification must for the interested candidates. He said this job fair would be held in DBEE office.
Deputy Commissioner further said that the selection of the youth for jobs would be made purely on merit through a fair and transparent system.
He said these job fairs would pave for realizing the dream of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to provide job to every unemployed youth of the state. He said that the youth must avail maximum benefit of these job fairs, which would be instrumental in opening new avenues of employment for them.
He told that these job fairs aim at making the youth an active partner in socio-economic growth of the state by offering employment opportunities to them.
