Postal Department celebrates ‘Mail Day’ with message Stop spreading Covid-Wear Mask
Ferozepur, October 16, 2020: While the Department of Posts has already played a pivotal role in providing uninterrupted services around the world during Covid 19, the department has also been instrumental in providing cleanliness of offices, proper use of computers / machinery, discipline among staff and public works priorities.
Under the same series, the Postal Department RMS Ferozepur has celebrated ‘Mail Day’ dedicated to National Postal Week from 9-15 Oct. 2020 with a message – Stop spreading Covid-Wear Mask.
P.C.Pal, Senior Superintendent Post Offices said, during the National Postal Week celebrations, the entire office has been cleaned by the staff and also the working machinery like computer, printer, scanner etc.
He said, the RMS office has ensured that each employee come in proper dress and I-Card and perform his duty diligently and honestly with special focus to dispatch the dak on the same day so that it reaches its destination timely.
Making an appeal to the general public, he said, the proper sealed envelope should be posted with adequate postage stamps and full address and PIN code for speedy delivery.
He also appealed to the people to wear masks and follow the other precautions of Covid-19 while coming to the office.
Head Sorter Gurvaryam Singh, Rohit Chawla (SRO), Malkit Singh, Satnam Singh, Zion Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Balwinder Kaur, Dushyant Kumar, Parvinder Singh, Inderjit Singh, Sonu, Rohit Kumar and Chamkaur Singh were also present on the occasion.
