Indian-origin Kamala Harris becomes first woman elected US vice president
Washington, November 07, 2020: The 56-year-old California senator Kamala Harris made history Saturday as the first Black woman elected as vice president of the United States.
Harris has served as San Francisco’s district attorney and California’s attorney general before becoming a US senator.
Canada NDP leader Jagmeet Singh has congratulated Kamala and tweeted:
