Farmers celebrate ‘Black Diwali’ against three Farm Bills, to hold debate on Nov. 20
Ferozepur, November 14, 2020: The farmers under the banner of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Punjab today observed ‘Black Diwali’ against the introduction of three Farm Bills and Electricity Amendment bill, 2020 and the protest was with the support of laborers and family members by holding black flags at different villages and burn in effigy Prime Minister.
Giving this information, Inderjit Singh Bath, District President Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee said almost every class is showing resentment towards the Modi government for the introduction of three Farm Bills and had adopted the anti-farmer attitude towards the rights of the farmers. Even after more than one month’s the protest, the Modi government is still harping on the operation of both passenger and goods trains and sticking to its stand but could not give convincing statements in the meeting held between the farmers and Centre government.
Talking about intensifying the agitation the farmer leaders said, the passenger's trains would not be allowed to run on tracks at any cost and for further course of action, a debate has been called for at Pandori Ran Singh Tarn Taran Gurdas Academy on November 20. The debate will be attended by senior journalist, Hamir Singh, Dr.Pyare Lal Garg, Prof Manjit Singh, Advocate Baldev Singh Sidhu and other intellectuals.
