Self-Employment Camp organized under Women Empowerment Awareness campaign
Ferozepur, November 24, 2020: With an aim to ensure financial empowerment of women through enrolment under various self-employment schemes, under the Women Empowerment Campaign, a Self-Employment Camp of Mangal Kirat Abhiyan, was organized at District Bureau of Employment General Skill Development and Training, under the tutelage of Rajdeep Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General).
The aim of the camp was to promote a culture of respect of equality, encourage women's intellectuality and upliftment and empower women so that maximum of self-employment loans could be easily provided to the candidates and to promote a culture of respect and equality.
Keeping this objective in view, the eligible girls of the villages of District Ferozepur who want to stand on their own feet – to become self-reliant - by doing their own work as per their wish were given information about various schemes of self-employment and on the spot complete forms including their own documents were filled up which was attended by as many as 30 women.
In this camp ADC, Rajdeep Kaur informed that such self-employment, placement, skill training camps for women empowerment under Mangal Kirat Abhiyan would be conducted every Tuesday of the week in the future also to identify problems faced by women in availing various government schemes, generating spreading awareness about schemes besides monitoring their implementation.
She said, the main objective of these camps is to help the needy women of the district to become independent by providing them self-employment opportunities.
At the end of the camp District Training Officer Ashok Jindal, Placement Officer, Gurjant Singh and Rahul Vohra, Model Career Center, Ferozepur briefed the candidates about the various services being provided by the Bureau and asked them to register their names.
