Dhanbad Express left Ferozepur with only 47 passengers
Due to rail blockade at Jandiala, Railways to run trains from converted routes
Ferozepur, November 24, 2020: Due to the blockage in Jandiala by the Kisan Sangharsh Morcha, the Railways have decided to run the trains from the converted route via Beas, Tarn Taran, Bhagatwala.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the mobility of people has come down and travelling only for emergent and some specific work. However, medical protocols were observed in running the training like cleaning the railway platforms, coaches, maintaining distance, wearing masks by the passengers etc. Today, Dhanbad Express left Ferozepur at 4.10 pm with only 47 passengers after more than two months.
DRM Ferozepur said, it is not possible to operate all trains due to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour with a single line section and therefore, the Railway Administration has decided to run only two pairs of Mail Express trains.
He further said, the trains which had been declared to run from their scheduled time will remain suspended till the opening of the Jandiala main line. Apart from this, other trains which have been announced in the division will run according to their scheduled time and route.
Two Pair of Mail Express Trains to run are - 02903/02904 (Golden Temple Mail and 04649/04650 (Saryu-Yamuna X.) / 04673/04674 (Shaheed X.)
The three other trains, which have arrived in Amritsar today, will be run from Amritsar only on November 25 - 02716 (Sachkhand X), 02926 (West X.), 09026 (Amritsar-Bandra Terminus).
Apart from this, the other three trains are - 02054 (Amritsar-Haridwar Jan Shatabdi), 05212 (Amritsar-Saharsa Janseva) and 02030 (Amritsar-New Delhi Shatabdi).
