Farmer’s protest: Sarpanches, Panches holds dharna, burns effigy of Modi govt

Fatehgarh Sahib. December 1, 2020: A large number of Sarpanches, panches, Zila Parishad, Block Samiti members & farmers organised a protest dharna in front of the District Administrative complex against the Modi Government and in support of the farmers protesting in Delhi.
They raised slogans against the Modi government and burnt his effigy. They announced to support the agitating farmers and join the dharna. Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA also joined the dharna.
Addressing the gathering the speakers said that the farmers are protesting since long peacefully and now they have shifted their protest to Delhi, but the Haryana Police at the behest of BJP government committed grave atrocities by using water guns, tear gas and lathi charged, which speaks the volume that BJP is anti farmers.
They said that the Modi government enacted three anti-farmer laws to benefit the corporate houses and they will not only fleece the farmers but will snatch their lands.
“These laws will not only economically affect the agriculture sector but it will ruin the economy of the Nation and every section will be affected,” the protestors added. They called upon the rural people and other sections of society to support the agitation and protest the anti farmer laws and join the agitation.
