#NRIsChaloDelhi: Sikhs abroad flying India to join farmers' protest
Chandigarh, December 25, 2020: The ongoing farmers' agitation has led to a worldwide interest and support for the protesting farmers. To provide moral and material support towards the ongoing farmers' agitation, NRI’s residing in different countries is coming to India to contribute to the farmers’ cause.
Led by Surinder Mavi from Toronto who hails from Patiala and his friends Raman Brar (Toronto-Faridkot), Vikramjit Saran (Vancouver-Mansa), Davinder Singh Ghaloti (Ludhiana - Germany), Harpreet Singh Thiara ( Jalandhar - Germany), Jagjit Singh (Kapurthala - Germany),Major Singh ( England), Bhavjeet from Australia (Ludhiana), Amritpal Dhillon California (Kapurthala), Dalwinder Sidhu New York (Bathinda), Baljinder Singh New Jersey (Nakodar), Avtar Sidhu Alberta (Moga), and a lot of others are coming to India to contribute towards Farmers cause. in this protest.
Speaking on behalf of NRI’s Surinder Mavi said that as children of farmers and Punjab it is their moral duty to stand with the toiling sons and daughters of India who are braving harsh winter nights at Delhi for their rights
“The main purpose of #NRIsChaloDelhi campaign is to increase awareness among NRI’s and to properly channelize and organize their support for farmers cause so that the agitation is further strengthened,” he said.
He further appealed to the NRIs who have already reached India to join the #NRIsChaloDelhi campaign and reach the Singhu border on 30th December at 12:30 pm in front of the main stage.
Raman Brar appealed to the NRI fraternity to get united and stand in solidarity with farmers and play our part as sons/ daughters of the soil in this ongoing #FamersProtest.
