This time, AAP to celebrate ‘Black Lohri’ in Punjab in support of farmers
Ferozepur, January 11, 2021: With Lohri being a much-celebrated festival among farmers but the farmers camping at Delhi borders are fighting for their rights also keeping in mind the sacrifice of 70 farmers in Delhi Kisan Andolan against the three controversial agricultural laws, Punjab High Command of Aam Aadmi Party, this time has decided to celebrate ‘black lohri’and this time, Lohri will be dedicated to the farmers who have sacrificed their lives.
Added, at the Delhi borders, farmers remained undeterred even as the temperatures drop and protesting for the last 48 days, have now reasserted that they are ready for the long haul and are even prepared to spend at the border itself with the extended family, when all rounds of talks have failed over withdrawal of 3-Farm Laws.
Holding a press conference today at Press Club Ferozepur, AAP President Bhupinder Kaur, District President and Iqbal Singh Dhillon, General Secretary Ferozepur Circle said, during the ‘black lohri’ celebrations, the copies of three anti-farmers laws passed by the Modi government will be burnt, in every village, city of the Punjab.
They said, the three Farm Laws should be rolled back forthwith by the Modi government besides tendering an apology to the families of farmers who have lost their lives in this agitation.
Expressing solidarity with the farmers of the country, they said, AAP stands with the farmers till such time the anti-farmer laws are not withdrawn. Meantime, the Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister, AAP Supremo had extended full help to the protesting farmers at Delhi borders by making arrangements for mobile toilets, WiFi facility, food, drinking water and hot water during the chilly weather conditions.
On asking about giving the tickets to the persons changing the party and reminding of the three Cs – Crime, Corruption and Character, Ranbir Singh Bhullar former District President said, all the agencies are working to tarnish the image of Arvind Kejriwal, who is doing commendable job in Delhi. He said, there will be no place in the party for the persons having no clean record as per the policy of the AAP.
