More judges to hold physical courts in Delhi, HC issues directions
New Delhi, January 14, 2021: Given the declining intensity of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Delhi High Court on Thursday allowed the district courts start physical hearing on alternative days from January18, 2021.
In the order issued by Registrar General Manoj Jain, all the district courts have been directed to hold physical court on the alternate days of the week and continue to take up the matters through ‘video conferencing’ on non-physical days.
"All the courts have been asked to prepare a roster of their sub-ordinate courts from which shall be effective from January 18.
“The advocates, litigants, and other visitors of the district court complexes are requested to strictly adhere to the norms of social distancing and other Covid-19 related guidelines issued by central/state government,” the order read.
