Singhu Border (Delhi), January 15, 2021: Panjab University's student group and party, SFS (Students For Society) is encouraging the youth of Kisan Morcha at Singhu Border here through its special campaigns from time to time.
Notably, 15-20 members including four women of SFS are sitting at the farmers' agitation at Singhu Border since the first day of 'Morcha' and are contributing to the agitation by displaying posters, playing songs/poems/ 'Boliyan' in the gatherings, and discussing with the youth.
SFS President Varinder Singh and Raman said that their major objective is to spread awareness among the protesters so that the protest will move in the right direction. They said they are preparing the youth protesters through their styles before any big event regarding this agitation.
"I feel the confrontation is necessary for this protest and it could play a positive role in this protest. The protest reached Delhi only because of confrontation by the farmers so it could also play a vital role in upcoming events including the tractor march on the republic day," said Raman.
Raman added the SFS kept discussing with the youth any plan of action. He said, "We are explaining the protesters, what kind of bills are these? Why it was necessary to hold a protest at the Delhi borders rather than entering inside Burari ground."
Raman said SFS has conducted over 50 meetings with the protesters to discuss various agendas.
SFS members, who are mainly artists, also sung various 'Boliyan' and burnt farm laws on the Lohri eve to entertain the protesters at the Singhu Border.
